I've extensive experience in marketing and communications in both private and public sectors, producing marketing strategies for government departments and directing product development for a private company.
I have created radio campaigns, promotional products, advertising copy, templates for client communications, web content, newsletters and many other marketing tools.
Publishing
I originally worked as a writer and editor of books for Steve Parish Publishing and the Queensland Government.
As a result, my writing and editing portfolio includes non-fiction and fiction in a variety of fields.
As a writer, I have had published activity books and picture books for children, inspirational phrases, and postcard copy, and written such varied content as media releases, web content, ministerial briefs, customer service letter templates, technical documentation, business cases and strategic policy. I have even written the training material and conducted training seminars in plain language and Microsoft Word.
As an editor, I have worked on natural history (for adults and children), travel and tourist guides, scientific publications, childrens fiction, government and annual reports, legislation and policy documents, technical documentation for software products, medical information, and insurance documents.
